Recent reliable studies have concluded that there is vast potential for development of domestic renewable energy resources, particularly in the waterpower sector. Hydro Green Energy is poised to be a major player to ensure that the United States taps more aggressively into its emissions-free, reliable and domestic energy sources.  This development will lead to thousands of new jobs.  Hydro Green Energy is committed to projects that are low impact, and in some cases, cause no net impact from an environmental perspective.  Our approach is to utilize existing infrastructure, which means that no new dams or other new and substantial in-water structures are needed.  In addition, unlike certain renewable technologies, Hydro Green Energy’s projects will hold high capacity factors and are located near load centers and close to existing transmission and distribution infrastructure, reducing developmental impacts and costs.
Our patented technological approaches include Lock+, Dam+ and Hydro+.  We also continue to explore the further deployment of our commercial hydrokinetic technology. Hydro Green Energy presently has 29 preliminary permits at FERC for projects in 13 states.  This current suite of projects will result in nearly 500 MW of new low-impact, reliable and renewable hydropower without constructing a single dam.
