Water, Land Use, and Healthy Fisheries

Fish need clean water and adequate habitat, and to ensure these conditions  for sustainable fisheries it is critical to manage land use in addition to water resources. How land is used affects all aspects of water. This talk will provide an overview of the land use stresses and impacts on water quality and river and stream ecology, with an emphasis on the upper Midwest of the US.
