Meeting Room 14 (RiverCentre)
Management decisions are most effective at the small watershed scale and it is at this scale measurable progress can be made. A 2011 GIS based habitat condition assessment for the Driftless Area Restoration Effort partnership is anticipated to be used as a tool by resource managers and practitioners to help make decisions about the type of actions needed at the HUC 12 and catchment level to protect, restore or enhance habitat for brook trout and smallmouth bass. Presenter will explore how the assessments could be used in local watershed planning.
