Life-Giving Funds: Opportunities Created by ARRA Funding of Nrcs' Emergency Watershed Protection Program

This talk will cover dam removal projects in Pennsylvania as well as a summary of floodplain easement activities in Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois and Missouri.  We will discuss the benefits of NGO-government agency collaboration and challenges in meeting ARRA objectives.  We will close with summary information about the flood damage reduction role of ARRA-funded easements in the Midwest.
