Come on out for a relaxing day on the lake! This event is focused around taking kids fishing as well as providing them with information about the aquatic environment. The Fishing in the Neighborhood (FiN) will be hosting the event along with the U.S.F.W.S., MinnAqua (MN DNR) and members of the Aquatic Resources Education Association (AREA). Join in the fun; assist with taking kids fishing, while helping them understand that good fishing depends on good stewardship. Other activities include fish printing, a water stewardship activity, learning about Minnesota fish and aquatic invertebrates. Fishing and educational activities will occur throughout the three-hour event. No prior experience or fishing gear is needed, everything will be provided. Each child attending the event will be given a bag of fishing education material and fun giveaways after completing the stations.
