From the sandhill lakes with their trophy fish and low angling pressure to the urban, flood-control reservoirs with their dense populations and high angling pressure, panfish are an extremely important component of the consumptive fisheries in Nebraska.  Through this presentation, the story of Nebraska panfish anglers will be told.  Chapters will draw on panfish angler characteristics, attitudes, and motivations discovered through the 2012 statewide licensed angler survey as well as their catch and harvest tendencies displayed in 31 creel studies conducted throughout the state.  Join us in delving into the human dimension of panfish management in Nebraska.
