Due to the increasing demand for the marine ornamental fish worldwide, the wild caught is increasing. This is because of the challenging in larvae rearing and especially during the starter feed. The rotifera (Brachionus plicatilis) is a suitable small-sized prey being used as a live feed for the fish larvae at the beginning stage, which may not adequate to satisfy the nutritional requirements of fish larvae. In the present study to upsurge the required amounts, rotifers enriched with n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid rich oil emulsion at 3 hour time intervals for 24 hours to standardize and to find the enrichment period. From this experiment it confirms that the short time duration at 3 hour is suitable with high polyunsaturated fatty acids. The larvae fed to the rotifer enriched with marine micro algae (A), n-3 PUFAs rich oil emulsion (B) and n-3 PUFAs rich oil emulsion with ingredients (vitamin C, carotenoid and antioxidant) (C). From the present study the n-3 PUFAs emulsion with ingredients shows the positive result with the maximum survival, growth and the metamorphosis which happens at 11th day of all the experimental fish larvae.
