Fisheries around the world are moving towards greater collaboration and self-governance in response to directives for sustainability, catch shares, cost recovery and environmentally responsible fishing.  These drivers, together with rapidly evolving computerised data, tracking and monitoring technologies are driving an international quest for a practical and affordable means to collect credible and verifiable fisheries data.  Three electronic (e) technologies are the focus of such a quest: Vessel Tracking (VMS), Onboard Camera Monitoring (EM) and eLog Reporting (ER), jointly abbreviated eTMR.  While the underlining technologies of the three eTMR components differ, they are nevertheless viewed as a standard set of fisheries management requirements.   Olrac SPS (www.olsps.com), an international provider of eLog technology, and Marine Instruments (www.marineinstruments.es), a Spanish  company specialising in the  development and manufacture of vessel monitoring and tracking systems, have combined their forces and technologies to create an integrated eTMR solution. This eTMR solution incorporates the NOAA certified Olrac eLogbook technology with eEye “state of the art” onboard surveillance cameras and vessel tracking systems, allowing fisheries and management authorities to satisfy all  their compliance, commercial and scientific monitoring and reporting needs with a single integrated solution.
