High Performance Computing for Large Scale Scientific Data Processing and Analysis
High Performance Computing for Large Scale Scientific Data Processing and Analysis
As data volume and complexity continues to increase, so too do scientists' needs for access to high performance computing resources. This talk will dispel the myth that significant project funding is a prerequisite to petascale processing and analysis stages of the data lifecycle. Specifically, we will discuss strategies to progress from a local desktop to a campus/department cluster to a national supercomputer. Topics include: educational and training resources; methods for moving, managing, and sharing big data; and securing access to high performance computing and processing resources.
