We report on the status of recovery plan implementation in the basins that comprise the Upper Willamette River.  The Upper Willamette River (UWR) Chinook Salmon Evolutionarily Significant Unit is made up of 7 independent extant populations (Clackamas, Molalla, N. Santiam, S. Santiam, Calapooia, Mckenzie, Middle Fork Willamette) and the UWR Steelhead Distinct Population Segment overlaps with 4 of these populations (Molalla, N. Santiam, S. Santiam, Calapooia).  Limiting factors from the 2011 recovery plan describe the conditions and interactions fish experience that may impede recovery under the categories of: Flood control and Hydropower Projects, Land Management, Other Species, Hatchery Management and Harvest Management.   Actions addressing these factors are ongoing; many have made positive changes for the populations.  For each population we will describe effective actions and areas in need of further improvement, as well as status and trends of populations where data are available.
