Bahía Sebastián Vizcaíno has been considered as a Priority Marine Area and a Biological Activity Center by the Mexican Government due its high marine biodiversity and relevance in the regional fisheries. This work reflects the result of 12 years of investigation on the fish larvae community, showing their variations attributed to the seasonal and inter-annual fluctuations like El Niño, La Niña and the Subarctic Water Mass Intrusion. The first fish larvae systematic list was published in 2007, based in the identifications made on fish larvae collected during 1997 and el 2000. Zooplankton samples of a total of 44 oceanographic cruises made by IMECOCAL between 1997 and 2009 are analyzed. More than 200 fish taxa represented by their early stages have been recorded, showing important fluctuation in their presence and larval abundance that had made possible to characterize their community in Bahía Vizcaino during this 12 year period.
