In a technology driven world, quick and easy access to traceable and transparent information is increasingly important and an area of active development.  To meet society’s demand for more accessible information, there is an increasing need for the scientific community to adopt new mechanisms of information delivery.  Traditional scientific publishing processes and use of citations tend to limit access to input data and scientific workflows that could help further advance scientific discovery.   This talk will demonstrate the utility and feasibility of displaying fisheries information in an interactive online report while introducing the audience to the National Fish Habitat Partnership’s report, Through A Fish’s Eye: The Status of Fish Habitats in the United States 2015.  General concepts of the report structure will be described.   Several benefits and lessons learned of this report model will be highlighted through examples such as transparency of data and methodology (scientific provenance), direct data access, and efficient navigation.
