Abstract: The Student Angler Federation is a partnership between The Bass Federation and the FLW Outdoors. Together they  run more youth and adult tournaments than any other organization in the country. In 2010 The Student Angler Federation began conducting high school tournaments across the United States and the growth of that movement has been tremendous. Currently there are well over 1500 High School/ Community Clubs with 20,000 members participating in just our 6thyear. Growth continues at a rate of 20%+ per year and we see no immediate ceiling in those projections.

The Student Angler Federation offers a turnkey package to schools and communities who are interested as well as any State High School Athletic Association who may be interested in joining those who have adopted the sport as an official sport activity in their state.

The SAF program reaches a very diverse group of students who may not otherwise be engaged by their school in any type of athletic or extracurricular activity. Case histories of students who have been “saved” by this program are numerous and the growth of the sport has now spawned tremendous scholarship opportunities as the equally impressive Collegiate Bass Fishing movement grows in impressive fashion.
