84-22 Northeast Groundfish Catch Share Data Imputation

J. Michael Lanning , National Marine Fisheries Service, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Gloucester, MA
In this talk, an overview of data imputation methods for the northeast region marine groundfish fishery stock monitoring will be presented. Statistical analysis is often hindered by missing data; and missing data for the groundfish fishery is often not missing completely at random, time dependent, missing predictor variables, and dependent on correct record matching by date from multiple data sources. This talk will review the current multivariate imputation methodology of categorical variables and propose a statistical matching methodology utilizing fuzzy sets.
