128-11 Developing Realistic Recovery Goals for Salmonids in California
There are 10 species of salmonids in California listed as threatened or endangered under the Endangered Species Act. Recovering these species in California will be a substantial challenge given the level and types of threats across the landscape in conjunction with the anticipated increased human population and environmental response to climate change. This presentation provides an overview on the status of recovery planning in California, including examples of how the realistic recovery strategies have been incorporated into the planning process.
