Marble Bluff Fish Passage Facility (MBFF) was constructed in 1976 for restoration of the Pyramid Lake fisheries as authorized by the Bureau of Reclamation Washoe Project Act (70 Stat. 775 dated August 1, 1956). Since construction various components of MBFF have been operated to convey spawning runs of cui-ui sucker (Chasmistes cujus ) and Lahontan Cutthroat Trout (Oncorhynchus clarki henshawi) emigrating from Pyramid Lake via the Truckee River or the Marble Bluff fish way. This presentation will describe: operations of MBFF, spawning migrations, modifications to the facility, and passage monitoring improvements.
