91-1 Update on the Western Native Fishes Database
The Western Division of the American Fisheries Society (WDAFS) has been working on a native freshwater fishes database since 2005. The Western Native Fishes database includes maps and information on current and historic distribution, management status, and life history for approximately 290 fish native to the WDAFS territory. WDAFS has recently begun working with the Conservation Biology Institute to make the database available on line via their application, Databasin. We will provide an update on the status of the database as well as an introduction to using DataBasin to access the information collected in the database. This will also be an opportunity for people interested in reviewing or adding to the database to network with its planners and the Western Native Fishes Committee.
