Shrimp aquaculture and shrimp fishery have provided opportunity for economic and social development of rural communities in the southern coastal area of Iran. Iranian shrimp export had a decreasing trend in recent years. In addition, Iranian shrimp prices have decreased during last 5 years. The present study applies hedonic price analysis to determine factors affecting Iranian exportable shrimp.  Using primary data collected for this study, wholesale prices were studied in relation to product attributes, production and distribution methods, and packaging. Results revealed that shrimp prices were influenced by specific product attributes including shrimp size, production method and packing. Findings suggested that wholesale prices were influenced by specific natural attributes of shrimp indicative of their quality. The main attributes that positively affect wholesale price of shrimps were shrimp size, natural production, peeled and headless. By considering these attributes, suppliers of shrimp, farmers or processors could enhance the opportunities to develop an effective marketing mix.
