Wildlife TRACS is a new tracking and accomplishment reporting system for projects funded by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration (WSFR) program that includes Sport Fish Restoration.  It has two platforms: a data storage portion called Data TRACS and a public display portion called Public TRACS.  Information stored geo-spatially and through standardized data elements will be available for roll-up and display at an endless variety of geographic scales across the United States.  Queries and pre-formatted reports will allow retrieval of information by variables such as species, habitat, type of action, output measure, and threat or need being addressed.  A unique feature of Wildlife TRACS is capture of intermediate results outcomes to help measure the effectiveness of funded projects and to help answer the "so what" question on why WSFR projects are undertaken.  Wildlife TRACS is envisioned to be an essential tool for outreach on the benefits of WSFR grant programs to help ensure their continued support for another 75 years and beyond.
