Reinforce the freshwater mollusk – fish connection and present a better understanding of the relationship between freshwater mollusk and fishes by advocating the conservation of freshwater mollusk resources; serving as a conduit for information about freshwater mollusks; endorsing science-based management of freshwater mollusks; and promoting and facilitating education and awareness about freshwater mollusks and their function in freshwater ecosystems.
