The Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation: A Catalyst for Aquatic Education and Fisheries Marketing

The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation’s (RBFF) mission is to increase participation in recreational angling and boating and thereby increase public awareness and appreciation of the need to protect, conserve and restore this nation's aquatic natural resources. RBFF programs remain at the technological forefront in reaching and educating consumers and the public about the importance of recreational fishing and boating to our nation’s conservation efforts. RBFF developed the award-winning Take Me Fishing™ and Vamos A Pescar™ campaigns to help anglers and boaters learn, plan and equip for a successful day on the water. The campaign websites, TakeMeFishing.org and VamosAPescar.org offer a “one stop shopping “approach for anglers and boaters. RBFF’s websites also provide educators and fisheries professionals with resources to advance their organizations’ programs. RBFF reaches millions of individuals each year and are growing and evolving to meet the demands of consumers. Our presentation highlights RBFF programs and services and will present the latest research on how to best connect with anglers, boaters and the general public.
