Communicating Science Using the Web

Engaging audiences in science using the web is a fun, yet challenging task.  At the NOAA Alaska Fisheries Science Center (AFSC), we are working on various web tools to inform users about the science conducted at our center.  How do you make population estimation fun and informative for the non-scientist? How do you engage them in the scientific process? This talk will introduce a few web-tools created at the AFSC and give some insight on the programs used to create them.
