The RPC's annual planning meeting will focus on its work plan for October 2011-September 2012. Of prime interest will be next steps after the AFS Governing Board acts on RPC motions (presented September 3, 2011) regarding new policies on fishing tackle and the use of sedatives in fish research. Other priorities for 2012 include reviews and possible revisions to existing AFS policies. To handle those complex issues efficiently, the RPC hopes to continue its work with other AFS units and members. Attend this meeting if you want to influence how AFS uses science to influence policy and management.
