The Fish Habitat Section (FHS) is the newest section within AFS. Established in 2009, the FHS was formed to encourage the enhancement of knowledge and exchange information on the broad scope of multidisciplinary fish habitat issues, including marine, estuarine and freshwater, among members of the Society who belong to this Section.  FHS has been active in sponsoring symposia at meetings and in providing expert opinion on policy issues. Many opportunities exist for students to become actively involved in the Section, and student membership is FREE!
